[opensuse-packaging] Django packaging
Hi list... Django[1], has some parallel versions running out there. It has 1.1.x and 1.2.x stable series and a new 1.3.x series soon. We have 1.2.x packaged as python-django in d:l:python but we need a decision for 1.3.x series. It will introduce some minor incompatible changes as you can see in the (in development) release notes here[2]. Shall we keep python-django (for 1.2) and create python-django13 or stick with only python-django? Shall we keep python-django (for 1.2) and create python-django13 or stick with only python-django? The question is if this is worth the effort. When measuring the replies so far, I'd say not really. One solution might be to ship the most current version in d:l:p and move 1.2 packages to a d:l:p:django-1.2 project. -- Mit freundlichen Grüßen, Sascha Peilicke http://saschpe.wordpress.com
Fine. Regenerated the spec file and updated it in my branch. https://build.opensuse.org/package/show?package=python-django&project=home:aledr:branches On Thu, Mar 17, 2011 at 8:02 AM, Sascha Peilicke <saschpe@gmx.de> wrote:
