Buildservice Scheduler Dead?
All, I was working an issue with /dev/ttyACM0 with Andrei on the user's list, see: "How can openSUSE udev rule for /dev/ttyACM0 impact communication with the device?", and he suggested and update to the kernel on 15.4 to the 6.6.7 in Backport - done. However, this laptop had built-in Nvidia (390.xxx driver), so I branched and patched the driver for the 6.6 kernel. See: https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:drankinatty:branches:X11:Driver... The build has been "finished" for hours and has not been picked up by the scheduler to give the "succeeded" or "failed". Is there something peculiar about the nvidia-gfxG04 package that prevents the scheduler from picking the packages up? When it "failed" it will come back with a "failed", but for reasons I can't explain, the build is stuck at "finished" - for hours... Any thoughts? -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E.

(this problem fixed and package built, though 15.6 fails...), But, why aren't Source0 and Source1 downloaded during the build? I confirmed the URL and even added a local us. specific region and https, but still I had to 'wget' the .run files and then upload to buildservice. The .spec file URLs of: Source0: https://us.download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linux-x86/%{version}/NVIDIA-Linux-x86-%{version}.run Source1: https://us.download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linux-x86_64/%{version}/NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-%{version}.run Did not work. Why would buildservice not download the files to build the kmp/dkms package, even though a simple wget did? -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E.

And while I'm getting schooled in buildservice lore, after patching for the 6.6 kernel, the kmp package built from nvidia-gfxG04.spec On buildservice, how do I trigger the build of the remaining packages for the repo from x11-video-nvidiaG04.spec ?? I'll have to find a good osc link, I still can't checkout packages from my own repo without the "Server returned an error: HTTP Error 401: Unauthorized" error -- showing me I don't have the osc config setup correctly yet. And I thought git was painful... :) -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E.

This part is fixed, had password from 2017 stuck in ~/.oscrc ... -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E.
