This is really starting to grow and I get the feeling that using the mailing-list for this isn't really appropriate. Maybe we should have a page on the wiki that lists *ALL* the packages we maintain, by repository. Could help avoiding packaging something that's already included in another repository. But also extra work of adding new packages to that wiki page (which isn't all that much effort IMHO, and don't complain, I'm the one who'd have the most work ;)). I'll post new versions of my spec file templates soon, as I revamped them completely, made them simpler and y2pmbuild-ready and they even seem to be ok for some SUSE devs (nicht wahr Marcus? ;P). Hi list: I have being packaging for the SUSE distro for years, and right now I have meny packages built for suse 9.3 (currently installed on my wife's laptop), and a lot built for SUSE 10.0, which I use on my main pc. So, I just build them for me, my wife and a few friends, but as it's a pity not to share and not give back something to the community in return for the good amount of sofware I get for free, I was wondering if I could find here in this list someone who wants to host a repo for my rpms...You now I could have my own web site, but I am really lazy... About me: My name is Jorge Luis Arzola and I am a writter(fiction, nothing to do with programming prefessionaly, but among my main hobbies are linux and open source related topics). I am cuban, but live in Colon, Germany. As a packager I have build( just ocassionaly, when asked) rpms for some open source projects, mainly kde related ones, and have made minor contributions to kde itself in the past.. All new packages tht are provided via the apt repository on gwdg are announced here: http://linux01.gwdg.de/apt4rpm/freshrpms/ The address for 10.0 is: http://linux01.gwdg.de/apt4rpm/freshrpms/suse100.html There might be 2 files that can be used to determine which packages are in the repository: ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/apt/SuSE/10.0-i386/base/contlist.bz2 It is simple and rather straight forward cached. It's located in the public part of the apt repository. The other file is the cache file, as such it is not located outside the public part of the apt repository, and it's format might change. Although the chance that it will change is very small. An example of such is a file is http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/apt/share/suse73/cache/suser-rbos This file contains among other things the package name, the filename, archictecture, date it was added to the repository. This might be an intesting for anyone that wants to provide a package information site. However, not all files are visible on the server. BTW, I think it's probably not the best place for that complain, but I also think someone else here could agree with me. I follow your updates from the RSS feed on your site. However the feed only shows the package name, version and summary. I think it would be nice if it could also show the last changelog input, so I could check if it's interesting to update immediately or later. Anyway, many thanks for the packages. :)
