[opensuse-packaging] evergreen updates
Hi, this is targetted to openSUSE community packagers (or those being both openSUSE/Novell ;-)) If you prepare (mainly security) updates for 11.2/11.3 and you feel like it, please prepare one for 11.1 as well and submit it to openSUSE:Evergreen:11.1:Test. You can obviously decide yourself if you want to contribute or not but it would be nice if you would. Thanks, Wolfgang -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+help@opensuse.org

Are you asking this for all of the packages in 11.1, or a subset? Thanks, Vincent -- Les gens heureux ne sont pas pressés. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+help@opensuse.org

We didn't sign an SLA ;-) Actually it should be based on severity. I wouldn't mind to take updates for everything but I don't expect us to manage that. So in my priority list are server services, remote vulnerabilities and only later local DOS and stuff. Currently we would prioritize "on the fly" and according to our ability. There is a lot to learn while we go ahead. For example I already imported the pidgin security update for 11.1 because it makes sense and was a low hanging fruit. If it would be submitted directly from the maintainer it would be even better ;-) Currently we still miss a bit of documentation on what we try to achieve and how but it's on the way. Also a note that you are aware of a problem, even when you don't want/can't provide an update would be welcome... -- Adrian Schroeter SUSE Linux Products GmbH email: adrian@suse.de -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+help@opensuse.org
