[opensuse-packaging] LUA on SLE_10 (lua.pc)
Hi, I'm building some packages in 'games' and some fail on SLE_10. I'm at the moment investigating on smc (Secret Maryo) which, in turn, depends on libcegui. libcegui does not build on SLE_10 due to some 'weirdness' in lua on SLE_10. namely, lua-devel does not provide a lua.pc file, which in turn makes libcegui fail on detecting lua. Any ideas what's wrong here? Of course I can just 'hack' around it, but that would be ugly. Was lua.pc left out intentionally or did it not exist at that time (who knows) or was it just split in a different package? Any pointers are welcome. Pity, that's just what I was afraid off.

Well, in this case I'll probably have to hack around in games/cegui in order for it to 'accept' the existing lua installation, even without a .pc file. If you have good tips at hand, I'm all open to hear them. (Seems some people actually do want to use the games on SLED) Dominique -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+help@opensuse.org

Why not use lua.pc from 5.1.1 (branch a package for games repository)? Petr
