[opensuse-packaging] Diff packages?
Anyone knows how to make diff packages? I've looked around rpm.org, but I couldn't find anything. Our project will be releasing a few betas shortly (and the final release eventaully), and with a -data package of ~400MB I'd like to provide diff packages so that the transition from beta1 to beta2 to final is as painless as possible. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+help@opensuse.org
Look/google for deltarpm man makedeltarpm should also set you on the right path. Informasjon for pakke deltarpm: Pakkebrønn: @System Navn: deltarpm Versjon: 3.5.git-2.1 Ark.: x86_64 Produsent: openSUSE Installert: Ja Status: oppdatert Installert størrelse: 811,0 KiB Sammendrag: Tools to Create and Apply deltarpms Beskrivelse: This package contains tools to create and apply deltarpms. A deltarpm contains the difference between an old and a new version of an RPM, which makes it possible to recreate the new RPM from the deltarpm and the old one. You do not need to have a copy of the old RPM, because deltarpms can also work with installed RPMs. sø., 06.03.2011 kl. 16.37 -0300, skrev Claudio Freire:
