[opensuse-packaging] Microdia Driver
Hello, can any tell me a working Mail Address for this package developer? The package is old :(, very old :((. I hope we have a updated package in the near ;). When searching for microdia, the software search lists a number of packages, so which one specifically do you mean ?
I am not a programmer and fail with a new spec file :(.
Maybe I can help if you give the name of the project :) Philipp -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+help@opensuse.org

On closer look you're right :)

The spec file isn't the problem but rather that the changes in the kernel between 2.6.24 and the current 2.6.27 are so substantial, that a kernel hacker would be needed to adapt the sources. So sorry, but I can't help further. Philipp -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+help@opensuse.org

If someone would point me at the sources, I could work on this... thanks, greg k-h -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+help@opensuse.org

This repo builds just fine for me here, what is the problem that you are seeing when trying to build this code? And why is this driver not included in the main kernel tree. OK, so what you want is that someboby updates the microdia driver in the OBS. As Greg says that current git version builds without hickup, I'll have a look at how to update drivers:webcam/microdia Philipp -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+help@opensuse.org

I've branched drivers:webcam/microdia, updated to the git version of today and submitted a collaboration request. Now it's up to the maintainer of drivers:webcam/microdia to make it happen.
