Hello, What do I alter in a spec file to resolve this message in a spec file, need opensuse equivalents ? nothing provides freetype-devel, nothing provides /usr/lib64/crt1.o, nothing provides glibc-static Thanks Glenn Source https://build.opensuse.org/package/view_file?file=grub2.spec&package=grub2&project=home%3Adoiggl&srcmd5=42b04f9a4556681bd44e298137c725d0 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+owner@opensuse.org

freetype-devel -> freetype2-devel glibc-static is not needed for suse <= 11.4. On factory it's glibc-devel-static BTW this reminds me about last thread "review split glibc-devel-static", Is there any chance to rename it to glibc-static before releasing 12.1? cu, Rudi -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+owner@opensuse.org

no need to rename, just a provides is enough. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+owner@opensuse.org

Yup, but it wouldn't be a rename at all because it has not been released yet. I think avoiding the name "glibc-devel-static" would be the best choice if it wouldn't conflict with package name conventions. cu, Rudi -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+owner@opensuse.org

freetype2-devel glibc-devel or, more recently: glibc-devel-static (Factory / 12.1 at least)
