apache2-mod-tidy for OpenSUSE/SUSE Linux 10.1
Hallo!

OK. Sorry. I will remember that.

With version 0.5.5, mod-tidy is ready for Apache2.2 (apr 1.x). I have patched mod_tidy on January 26th to work with apr 1.x., as you can see in the changelog on http://mod-tidy.sourceforge.net/changelog or on http://sourceforge.net/project/shownotes.php?release_id=391113&group_id=142791. This patch works for me (OpenSUSE 10.0/Apache 2.2), and as far as I know, this patch also works for other users as http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/httpd-dev/200601.mbox/date?2 states. Hi! Does anybody know, how I can contribute RPM packages directly to the OpenSUSE community, so that these packages can be integrated easily and quickly into the tree of OpenSUSE? Sierk Bornemann Sierk Bornemann | Hannover | Germany e-mail: sierkb@gmx.de URL: http://sierkbornemann.de/

This will be possible with our "Build Service", Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, aj@suse.de, http://www.suse.de/~aj/ SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126

But when will that be available? If it will take too long contact the gwdg.de ftp administrator. -- Richard Bos Without a home the journey is endless

I stress this question.
If it will take too long contact the gwdg.de ftp administrator.
Isn't this Peter Poeml? Sierk Sierk Bornemann | Hannover | Germany e-mail: sierkb@gmx.de URL: http://sierkbornemann.de/

No -- Peter is working for Novell / SUSE. The admin of ftp.gwdg.de is Eberhard Moenkeberg. Regards Christoph

I suggest to create a bugreport against component bugzilla and add the details so that it can get included again, Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, aj@suse.de, http://www.suse.de/~aj/ SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126

Do I have to do that on my own, or could you or another SUSE fellow do that for me please? Why did anybody inform me, that this package will vanish from the distribution, if it won't work with apr-1? Sierk Sierk Bornemann | Hannover | Germany e-mail: sierkb@gmx.de URL: http://sierkbornemann.de/

I'll forward this thread now to the responsible developer...
Why did anybody inform me, that this package will vanish from the distribution, if it won't work with apr-1?

OK. Thank you a lot.

Don't know :-(
Month ago, especially in June/July 2005, I stayed in contact with Peter Poeml, who thankfully took my packages and put them into the Suse FTP-tree. Unfortunately, the contact has broken, emails to him (for instance if I have made updated packages or new releases) have been without any response for quite a long time. That there are incompatibilities with apr-1, I know since January 2006. I fixed this issue very quickly, from my point of view there shouldn't be any longer to hold back publishing apache2-mod-tidy.
Sorry about that,
OK. Sierk Sierk Bornemann | Hannover | Germany e-mail: sierkb@gmx.de URL: http://sierkbornemann.de/

I would appreciate, if I get a short notice, if mod_tidy is available again in the official OpenSUSE tree. Thank you, Sierk Sierk Bornemann | Hannover | Germany e-mail: sierkb@gmx.de URL: http://sierkbornemann.de/
