It has been discussed in lengths on opensuse-ruby, but as it creates problems to other packages as well, I better announce it here too:

We updated ruby to 1.9.3, so quite some bindings break now - especially if they hard coded stuff or rely on ruby internals. Ruby 1.9 is not that much different, but it's internals _do_ differ. Plus they removed quite some stuff that is long deprecated and noone cared :)
