[opensuse-packaging] unstable scientific packages
Hello, Currently we have science project [1] for providing scientific and engineering software. Simultaneously it is devel project for Factory. Are there any ideas that case is better for providing unstable versions of small amount of programs? Placing in science repo directly with -unstable postfix in package name or creating science:unstable repository? what do you have in mind when you say unstable? usually I do not like the idea of an unstable package in science as there are no such things as stable ones in my opinion. I would propose -current as suffix and yes I think all shall be made available via the scince repo... which I have a dream that one day will be part of the list of available repos in yast. regards, Alin -- Without Questions there are no Answers! ______________________________________________________________________ Dr. Alin Marin ELENA http://alin.elenaworld.net/ ______________________________________________________________________ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+owner@opensuse.org

Beta versions or versions from scm in applicable cases. Currently: octave, gEDA. I think -unstable is better, users will think what they are doing. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+owner@opensuse.org
