After some discussion with Sascha, we agreed that we have the following goals: * Moving to only systemd service files (while still supporting SysV init service files) * Supporting building with SLE 11 which comes with SysV init * The rcXXX script should continue to work with systemd Hi,
can we have the rcXXX rpmlint error for that? I'm not sure how much systemd-only packages do we have atm and how many of them links /sbin/service in this case.
rcXXX is a foreign concept not part of systemd , therefore there should be no expectative whatsoever about it working with systemd, even less an rpmlint error in place.
But it is an expectation from our users (openSUSE and SLE). We worked hard to make transition to systemd as smooth as possible and making sure rcXXX still works is part of that. We shouldn't drop it. -- Frederic Crozat <fcrozat@suse.com> SUSE -- Frederic Crozat <fcrozat@suse.com> SUSE -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+owner@opensuse.org
