As per https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=793541 it seems CodeAnalyst needs a new maintainer. Any volunteer?
I'd have thought the better question would be whether anyone uses it and whether it should be dropped. AMD initially requested the package but has no interest in keeping it maintained and no user has ever complained about the version being stale.
AMD tends to abandon stuff (not sure about Analyst, I only know about its GPU tools).
That doesn't mean they cease to be useful. Very few alternatives out there for many of them.
So you are a user of CodeAnalyst? From personal experience of maintaining oprofile (the underlying tool for CodeAnalyst) it's interesting how lightly used (going by #bug-reports) it is on openSUSE versus SLES. Anyways, I know pth did actually update the package version once, so maybe he has a counter opinion. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+owner@opensuse.org
