R-base buildrequires texinfo >= 5.1 and leap seems to stay with texinfo4 which is quite old. (I think 6.x ist current)
What features of texinfo >= 5.1 does it really need? In other words: is it perhaps possible with some easy changes (if any are required at all) to make it work with texinfo 4.13a?
Therefore its status is "unresolvable" for leap at the moment.
On the other hand R-base builds fine in factory.
What would be the way to get it to build for and included in leap? For R-patched I link to a newer texinfo but that seems somehow wrong for leap ?
Any help appreciated.
Well, there are only three cases: * make R not build info pages * make R work with texinfo 4.13a * update Leaps texinfo to something newer It's not ruled out alltogether to update Leap packages from those on SLE12, but it needs to have good reasons weighed against the disadvantage of having to maintain it outside SLE then.
