Don't bee to much off-topic. Frederic and mine are tallking about rcXXX **symlinks**. Those hides the details about how service is spawned in sysvinit/systemd and don't need anything in /etc/init.d/ installed, having /usr/sbin/rcvsftpd -> /sbin/service will simply call systemctl.
I am not off-topic, I think I am spot-on though :-) rcfoo status --> meaningless or confusing when the service depends on a device that has not been plugged in yet, or when StopWhenUnneeded is set. rcfoo start|stop - meaningless or confusing the the unit file has RefuseManualStart or RefuseManualStop set, I assume you dont want to restrict usage of unit file options in order to preserve this illusion of compatibility do you ? BUgzilla will probably speak louder & clearer and will certainly have more luck being listened to than me. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+owner@opensuse.org
