No that I think Mageia's file triggers patch is elegant. But it seems more flexible than virtual triggers.
I think it's pretty similar, the difference is that virtual triggers are more "explicit", i.e. you can query which packages trigger ldconfig.
If we ever have programs that update the caches atomically, how would virtual triggers pass the list of new libraries to ldconfig?
