Thank you, a good example. This is using the -source additionally to the -sdk package (which is probably the -devel in that case). I dont see the benefit to be honest....
It attempts to cope with both demands: building a package that depends on the X server (libraries) only, and one, that depends on the server sources itself (eg. tigervnc). The former is called -sdk, because it subsumes most major X libraries as well.
