Since we moved to systemd completely, I suggest that newly added files will contain service files - and not init scripts anymore.
So, please only add service files to new packages and if you change your init file, consider using a service file and dropping the init file,

So we now have several people creating/copying service files for various packages with varying mileage. For instance, rabbitmq-server got one which forget some stuff present in the init script. While that is all fixable, I urge everyone to actually test those *.service files since they take precedence over init scripts.
We are also planning to initiate a cross-distribution .service pool, when services aren't upstreamed, to share files which are being written in various distributions. It isn't announced yet (and help would be welcome to create a script to extract the various .service we have in the distribution) but it will be hosted on https://github.com/teg/systemd-units/ -- Frederic Crozat <fcrozat@suse.com> SUSE -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+owner@opensuse.org
