I guess it's too late to put the new versions into the next opensuse release. With beta1 there was a feature/version-freeze (if i remember correctly) - so i think they won't make it into 10.2
The best is to open an bug report and ask if the packages can be updated for the next opensuse-version (the one after 10.2).
We can always grant an exception - and since those are leaf packages that have been tested in the build service and really not updated for some time, I would grant it. Indeed, opening a bugreport and CC'ing me on it (as aj@novell.com) seems to be the best way to move forward here at this point of time so that this does not get lost...
