Dear opensuse-users,
Stefan, to start with: this is not a packaging related question - so this list is not the best choice. Packaging related would be you wanting to update systemd to a newer version but can't get something to behave correct in the build process
when adding the latest systemd release from:
https://software.opensuse.org/download.html?project=openSUSE%3AFactor y&package=systemd
In the install manually section the following command is provided:
zypper addrepo http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/openSUSE:Factory/standard/o penSUSE:Factory.repo
Software.o.o still does not understand that openSUSE Tumbleed (the product, 'Factory' is the process) is published different to the FTP Tre than any other repository. The repo you want to add is http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/t umbleweed/repo/oss At this moment, Tumbleweed (what we called Factory > 1 year ago) contains systemd v224 - no tested repo contains any newer version of systemd yet.
What is the right url for fetching e.g. the latest systemd release from the factory repository?
Factory is the process, Tumbleweed the product... so the above repo is correct (What was called 'Factory' > 1 year ago got a rebrand in Nov 2014 and is since then called Tumbleweed). If you insist on newer than what Tumbleweed offers, you jave to add the devel repos, which openQA did not test. In case of systemd, that means you'd get v228 - openQA denied this version so far in Tumbleweed. For THIS, you would need to add: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Base:/System/openSUSE_Tumblew eed/ (Base:System is where systemd has its devel home) Cheers, Dominique -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+owner@opensuse.org
