The Python people recognized with the python3 rollout that you cannot have huge incompatible generations anymore without harming the project. So I would like to believe in my vision that it won't be necessary to have multiple concurrent python versions in the future -- just like perl5 has demonstrated for some 10+ years in (open)SUSE.
