My suggestion is to drop autoip and dhcp+autoip options and instead of it create AUTOIP option for /etc/sysconfig/network/dhcp Because I think that no one uses only autoip option and dhcp+autoip is autoip action when dhcp-client after time out doesn't obtain an IP address.
Does it make sense? Any comments?
Well it makes more sense if you show the context in which we discussed it, the YaST dialog for this option: Currently necessary: (*) DHCP ( ) DHCP+autoip ( ) autoip ( ) static Wanted: (*) DHCP ( ) static where autoip aka zeroconf would be enabled by default, as it is in networkmanager and windows. People may notice that we are in the "Wanted" state already but only at the cost of ignoring zeroconf :-/ -- Martin Vidner, YaST developer http://en.opensuse.org/User:Mvidner Kuracke oddeleni v restauraci je jako fekalni oddeleni v bazenu -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-networking+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-networking+help@opensuse.org
