I'm at wits end. I've posted on LinuxQuestions and still have not fixed the problem. I have updated to SuSE 10.0 OSS from SuSE 9.3. All was working until the update. My SBLive Value no longer works. Below is the dmesg output. Jan 30 21:15:00 Bet kernel: PCI: Found IRQ 11 for device 0000:00:0f.0 Jan 30 21:15:00 Bet kernel: PCI: Sharing IRQ 11 with 0000:00:02.2 Jan 30 21:15:00 Bet kernel: PCI: Unable to reserve I/O region #1:20@d400 for device 0000:00:0f.0 Jan 30 21:15:00 Bet kernel: EMU10K1_Audigy: probe of 0000:00:0f.0 failed with error -16 Jan 30 21:15:20 Bet resmgr[3623]: set_facl() - ACL error on /dev/snd/timer, acl_set_file: No such file or directory Jan 30 21:15:20 Bet kernel: PCI: Found IRQ 11 for device 0000:00:0f.0 Jan 30 21:15:20 Bet kernel: PCI: Sharing IRQ 11 with 0000:00:02.2 Jan 30 21:15:20 Bet kernel: PCI: Unable to reserve I/O region #1:20@d400 for device 0000:00:0f.0 Jan 30 21:15:20 Bet kernel: EMU10K1_Audigy: probe of 0000:00:0f.0 failed with error -16 The SBLive seems to be in conflict with a USB controller. YaST refuses to install the soundcard. I run modprobe snd-emu10k1 and I just get a prompt. I'm told that the module is working as it should be then. As I have no idea of what to do, or how to handle modprobe, please give me step-by-step instructions. Should you need further information, please don't hesitate to ask. Thanks for the help in advance, Erik
