Hi, I have (almost) no problem to extract and compress from 9 to 5 Gb VOB files from a DVD with transcode and dvdauthor. tccat -i /dev/dvd -T1,-1 | tcextract-t vob -x mpeg2 | tcrequant -f X > file.m2v tccat -i /dev/dvd -T1,-1 | tcextract -t vob -x ac3 -a0 > file.ac3 tcmplex -i file.m2v -p file.ac3 -m d -o movie.vob dvdauthor -t -a ac3+fr --chapter=0:20:0,0:40:0 -o movie-dvd movie.vob dvdauthor -o movie-dvd -T It is mainly for fun. The resulted DVD works fine but impossible to find an easy way to extract and include subtitles with transcode/mplayer/dvdauthor. Can anyone advise a way to do it on Linux of course. -- Alain cassandre@bartydeux.be
