Hi When I'm running windows xp I use a really great program called "ACD Systems ACDSee" for viewing photos and video clips, it works really great. Now running Suse I have not found a program that is as good. I'm running GNOME and in that I have not found any good program, but under KDE there is a program called "Gwenview" that I use, but as I have noticed it is not so good to run programs from KDE when I am logged in with GNOME cause for ex deleted files never drops down in the trash but still takes up the space on my disk and I have to manually delete them from the .local dir in my home folder. And then there is still the problem that Gwenview does not do the job that ACDSee does. Is there a great image program for suse? Regards /Per

What functionality do you require? Gwenview has always done what I wanted (I'm a KDE man)
Missing the function to preview and see videoclips in all formats like for ex. *.mov. Then there is the problem that KDE apps seems to work a bit unstable under GNOME, for ex. that when I delete photos in Gwenview it does not drop down in the trash so I have to delete them manually in the .local dir in my home folder. /Per On 2/1/06, Hans <hvdmerwe@sunspace.co.za> wrote:

kuickshow and digikam are very nice. I prefer digikam which does a lot of things..... Also a good one is GTKSee which looks like acdsee. But none of these plays videos. __________________________________________________ Χρησιμοποιείτε Yahoo!; Βαρεθήκατε τα ενοχλητικά μηνύματα (spam); Το Yahoo! Just viewing images in the file manager (konqueror) works for me - in a directory full of graphics files, it shows them all as thumbnails. Clicking on an image thumbnail brings up a window with the full size image, and clicking on a video thumbnmail brings it up in a video player. But for more involved image specific behaviour, there might be a real opportunity for a killer app here. J
