Re: [SLE] Epson printers and SuSE 7.3 Pro.
I am using Canon BJC-2000, Epson Stilyplus (color) 880 with SuSE 8. They are working properly with black ink. But they can not printing with color, so they printing always with black color. How can I print with color ink ? Thank you very much in advance. --- Anthony Moulen <ajmoulen@moulen.org> wrote:

Hmm, the ink price is a concern, but I am
upgrading until at least SuSE 8.1 at the earliest (I have enough grief as it is, thank you very much), so the lack of drivers could actually keep me from purchasing an Epson at all.
Cheers,
Brian The only reason it lacks drivers is because the
definitely not planning on printer is actually newer than SuSE 7.3. They can only include drivers for printers that exist at the time they finalize the versions for the distribution. Installing GimpPrint and Cups isn't really that hard to do, and once installed it works really well in my experience. Until about a month ago I would have even had 7.3 RPMs I could have sent you, but I am no 8.0 now and deleted all my old stuff.

I used to use krabber on Suse 7.0,1,2,3 and that was brilliant, but unfortunately krabber can no longer work on Suse 8.0 because of KDE 3. Well my request is if anyway knows of a good front end mp3 encoder for Suse 8.0 Pro. Many Thanks in advance Ricardo
Hi Ricardo, Grip is a great program to convert audio files from regular music cds into mp3 files. Check it out here: http://nostatic.org/grip/ It runs fine on SuSE 8.0.
