Hello, Avidemux don't seems to know about 16x9. When loading a 16x9 video, it's always displayed as 4x3, including flv or MTS (High Definition) do you know a fix? It's specially a problem when making jpg recording, as the jpg is 4x3 thanks jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://www.youtube.com/user/jdddodinorg http://jdd.blip.tv/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-multimedia+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-multimedia+help@opensuse.org

thanks jdd Avidemux displays videos with an aspect ratio of 16:9, which is also known as anamorphic, (I'm assuming that's what you mean as the size normally has the format widthxhight) correctly with me. Use "ffprobe -show_format <videofile>" to see the actual "DAR" display aspect ratio and "PAR" picture aspect ratio of the video. The DAR should show 16:9. In avidemux you can select between or view both together the input or output view. The input is the file you loaded and the output is what the saved video will be like. This allows you to tweak the video and get an idea of the end result. I'm using version 2.5.4-6.pm.7.3 atm. Xine is the best player to get a good idea of what the video will be like on a tv it also has 2x and 4x fast and slow forward.

yes, I know, but it should display as DAR say: Stream #0.0[0x1e0]: Video: mpeg2video (Main), yuv420p, 720x576 [PAR 64:45 DAR 16:9], 9000 kb/s, 25 fps, 25 tbr, 90k tbn, 50 tbc (input and output are the same) it's just unpleasant but don't prevent use thanks jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://www.youtube.com/user/jdddodinorg http://jdd.blip.tv/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-multimedia+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-multimedia+help@opensuse.org
