Try using gamix instead of kmix. If your sound card supports it, you will notice a push-button for "mike boost", that punches about 20db gain to the mike. I have not tried Skype yet, so can't help ya there... On Thu, 2005-03-17 at 21:18 -0800, Claus Olesen wrote:

I tried Skype a couple months ago from my SuSE 9.2 to a Windows box and got no complaints. Besides, I'm impressed how well it works - it was just like talking on a regular phone.
