I am using Suse 10.0 (under Suse 9.3 on the same machine the problem did not occur): I use an external monitor connected to the back of my laptop. I use the DualHead feature in Yast to be able to get the display forwarded to this external monitor. When I connect the external monitor to the PC (it's a Toshiba Tecra S1 laptop with Radeon Graphics card, i.e., radeon driver), I am able to see a copy of the desktop on the monitor. There are two problems: 1. (Major problem): Video output is not cloned: When I run xine or mplayer, the video is displayed on the laptop screen, but not on the external monitor screen. Xine and mplayer display an "empty" video window. Although being able to clone desktop content on the monitor or beamer, video data seems to get lost. 2. (Minor problem): Although setting the external resolution to the correct value (in YAST, dual head settings), the forwarded copy of the desktop has a different resolution. The desktop does not fit on the external screen. When I move the mouse to the right side, the desktop on the external screen is shifted to show the missing parts. Thanks for any hints on what could be done here. Wolfgang Polzleitner
