Hmmm... I have been trying to view any DVD for about 12 hours now with no success. Does anyone know the exact steps to enable this feature in SuSE 9 KDE desktop? It appears to be a codec issue of some kind, as the system sees the SuSE 9 installation DVD ok, but no others. I see that viewing DVD's is a licensing issue, but I also see referrals to various sites to obtain the needed codecs to make it work. I have installed everything from the installation DVD that looks remotely related to DVD in any way, have also installed libdvdcss2-1.2.8-1.i586.rpm and anything else looking related from videolan.org, and just about everything on the programs or plugins list related to xine at the packman site. What have I missed???? Xine starts but sees nothing, the default DVD player that KDE starts upon inserting a disc says in the open window that it is missing a plugin. Noatun can't do anything either. I've enabled DMA for the drive. I've looked at the bottom of each page on the Packman site and installed the required dependencies there, but something else is missing or possibly the fact that I installed my xine related files in no particular order has disconnected something...? Again, what have I missed?? -Sheldon
