Problems with ESS Maestro sound card

Hello all, I have a Dell Latitude CpX laptop with SuSE Linux 7.3. When I try to configure my sound card with Yast2 (or with alsaconfig) I have the following problem: * With quick setup it works fine, everything works, but when I start the window manager (only with kde) my computer hangs up. * With normal setup or expert setup my computer hangs up when I push the finish button =). All of them detects my sound card as an ESS Maestro 2E (module es1978). And ... with SuSe Linux 7.2 everything worked fine ALWAYS !! =). Can someone help me out with this problem ?? Thank you.
