Which quality reliable software do you recommend for Video Editing that can easily output the content to an ISO Image for K3B to burn in comparison to Adobe Premiere?
many questions in one :-) for video editing, one need: * a non linear video editor (AKA Adobe Premiere, Magix and many others in Windows). We have a lot in Linux, none working really well. -The older is Kino, outdated and I think no more in openSUSE stock, but bery good for making effects and transitions. I several times used it only for this purpose. It works only on dv files -the one I would like to see working is kdenlive. was promising, but now is add features in place of fixing bugs. It's better than it was but still I got crazy with him last day :-(( -openshot is nice for simple editing (may be it's it the blender related one because it asks for blender at some moments) seems very stable and usable, but lack too many features -Lives : I never understood how it works, seems for artists more than video reporters -cinelerra, very ancient, but was aimed to professional market and asket for a cluster of 100 computer the first time I met him (was named, I think, Broadcast2000 - you see the date). Very special interface. Seems well fitted for some works. However my old dualcore was still not enough for him, and in case it lack memory it just quit... I have to try it again with my new i5, but the learning curve is high. * a converter to make the video clip usable with youtube, dvd... mobile phones..ffmpeg is the best. * a basic editor/converter, for image precise cut, avidemux is pretty fine. With this you can get mpg video files (or any format, by the way), fitted for dvd. * a dvd authoring programm. There are many on openSUSE I use gany2dvd
Other than gimp, how good is CinePaint or Kirta when related to PhotoShop?
I'm not a photo editor (I do many photos, but do not trick them). I'm not sure Gimp do less than photoshop, but it does it very differently. Any of them (photoshop or Gimp) needs month of learning to be mastered jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xgxog7_clip-l-ombre-et-la-lumiere-3-bad-pig... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGgv_ZFtV14 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-multimedia+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-multimedia+help@opensuse.org
