dvd-cdrw

Hi Andy here just got 8.1 desktop and loaded it on my Toshiba Satellite 1900-803 P4 laptop it's a wow experience. the cdr is recognized but the dvd part is not,and ogle or mplayer can't find it to play my dvds any idea's on how to get suse to recognise the dvd part of the drive while keeping the cdrw bits working Andy Pickard Yorkshire
