Missing Menus and Folder Icons
This may be off topic, but I am using OpenSUSE on my laptop so I have some an excuse for posting here :) After upgrading from OpenSUSE 10.2 to 10.3 i386 on my old Thinkpad A30 I am missing my menus for suspending (disk or mem) and shutting down the system. How do I get them back (because suspending to disk worked for me)? You can see a screenshot here: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2388/1878036871_da3d03ae42.jpg (in German) - shows only logout ... Kpowersave is running and working. BTW, how can i setup my power button for shutdown? This worked in 10.1 and I never got it running again. I did not find any answers: Some time ago I tried to change the icon for folders in KDE, but now I do not have any icon for a folder which is very disturbing. Where do I setup a default folder icon? Well, all not major glitches but if working very useful for my everyday work ... :-) You would be better off with opensuse-kde or opensuse mail lists.

It looks like logout menu after login in runlevel 3 and startx. Try as root: init 5 && exit That will bring you in rulevel 5 where logout has other options.

Right click on icon in taskbar and select Configure Kpowersave. Select tab General settings and than Button Events.

Have you checked that icon exist in /opt/kde3/share/icons for the size that is selected? For instance /opt/kde3/share/icons/crystalsvg/32x32/filesystems . As fast check you can create new user and start his session to see does that user have folder icon. If yes, than I would compare settings in Personal Settings > Appearance & Themes for both users.
Well, all not major glitches but if working very useful for my everyday work ...

This looks like https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=333735 - a dbus problem.
Kpowersave is running and working.
But you also cannot suspend from there, right? Otherwise it would be a different bug...

In the kpowersave configuration, you can set up button events. But this again only works if dbus is functional.
