Hi once more, Regarding this laptop, there's also a page http://www.thomashertweck.de/samsungp35.html that reports SuSE 9.2 running on it without any hitch. Apparently the Ethernet LAN is a RealTek (ntel 10/100 Ethernet UTP (RealTek RTL-8139) that, already, then was supported-so I assume it's not a question of support, but, rather, of network configuration. By the way, from the dmesg I do notice that wifi is correctly recognized. What does /sbin/ifconfig say, or netstat -r ? It must surely involve the connection to the router. i have recieved an Notebook from my Friend. Not the newest: Samsung P35.
Now i have the Problem, that LAN not runs under 11.2. I've tried with plugged Cable while booting, and plugging after Booting. But it doesn't find the LAN. I've attached the dmesg Output. Has anyone an Idea what happend?
