DELL Precision M60, SuSE 9.1, KDE 3.2.3 System friert ein
Hilfe ich habe einen Dell Precision M60 mit SuSE 9.1 Professional, allen derzeitigen Patches, und KDE 3.2.3 (letzte Version von der SuSE-Website). Das System fährt sauber hoch, bleibt beim Arbeiten jedoch sporadisch ganz stehen - friert ein - nichts geht mehr ausser komplett aus und wieder einschalten. Unter Windows XP läuft die Kiste bisher ohne Probleme. Hat irgendwer eine Idee woran das liegen könnte ? Habe bereits einiges versucht jedoch ohne Erfolg. -- mfg M.Schell

Well, if I understand you correctly (my german is a bit rusty), you have a freshly installed system which boots fine and then it crashes after some time (=no keyboard input, nothing to do but a complete reboot)? If this is the case, I have had the exact same problem with the new kernel 2.6.5-something. I had to revert to my old kernel, which was 2.6.4-54.5. This kernel version has now been deleted from the SuSE website, so I guess you need to revert to the kernel shipped on the DVDs.
