Booting process halted after upgrading to KDE 3.5.1 level "a" , Not supported
Hello, I have upgraded the KDE system of my Suse Linux 10.0 installation on my Medion MD41300 laptop to KDE 3.5.1 level "a". After the Yast update the system worked correctly but my problem started after I shutdown the system and wanted to boot it up again. After the selection screen where I selected Suse Linux 10.0 the system come to a hang. The last action I can see in the log are: Starting powersaved (accessing ACPI events over acpid ) done Starting IAL daemon done I am able to boot into runlevel 3 via failsafe mode and from there via login User/Psswrd and startx into KDE and can than work as usual. How can I find out what went wrong and how to correct the situation. I have done the same upgrade a week earlier on my Medion Desktop and that did not cause this problem. Regards, Frans Leerink

Hello Rajko, Thanks for the bug report/solution. Reverting kdebase3-kdm-3.5.1-27 to kdebase3-kdm-3.5.1-18 solved my problem Regards, Frans Leerink
