Hello everybody, little problem with my dell inspiron 4100. The installation of SuSE 8.1 worked fine. I can replace the CDROM-drive by a 20 GB hard disk. SuSE 8.1 recognizes this harddrive (hardware scan in yast2) and shows that the driver is /dev/hdc (/dev/hda2 is the drive where i installed SuSE8.1), but cfdisk /dev/hdc or cfdisk /dev/hdc2 says "not a valid block device". Are the conflicts with the driver /dev/hdc which should be for cdrom? What can i do to install a filesystem on this second harddrive?
