Hi everyone, since several weeks I am struggeling getting my soundcard to work on my Thinkpad T21. I managed to get it running once, but after I crashed my machine and did a reingstall of SuSE 7.3 I don't know why the card isn't working anymore; SuSe starts with saying "can't find snd-card-cs461x". I am running SuSE 7.3 and the Soundcard is a Crystal-Soundfusion. So I searched the Web and found this: http://www.netsys.com/suse-linux-e/2001/07/msg00791.html I followed the instructions but when I do "make" it fails with several lines saying: <---------- SNIP ------------------> ... cm_native.o(.text+0x0): multiple definition of `isapnp_wake' pcm.o(.text+0x0): first defined here pcm_native.o: In function `isapnp_device': pcm_native.o(.text+0x4): multiple definition of `isapnp_device' pcm.o(.text+0x4): first defined here pcm_native.o: In function `isapnp_activate': pcm_native.o(.text+0x8): multiple definition of `isapnp_activate' pcm.o(.text+0x8): first defined here pcm_native.o: In function `isapnp_deactivate': ... <---------- SNAP ------------------> I compiled the following driver: "alsa-driver-0.9.0rc3". I also attached the log of the make-procedure. I'll appreciate any help Thanks in advance Cheers Ian

Hi Ian, somewhere from the SuSE ftp-server I've got an RPM-package ALSA 0.9 for the latest 2.4.16-4GB Kernel SuSE published on their update-site for the 7.3. I could send it to you via private-mail because I forgot WHERE on the ftp-server I found it... Works fine for me. On Donnerstag, 10. Oktober 2002 11:38, Ian Perry wrote: [...]
