Probleme ASUS A6VA unter openSUSE 10.2 wenn das Notebook am Netzteil hängt
Moin! ich habe vorige Woche endlich den Sprung gewagt und openSUSE 10.2 auf meinem Notebook ASUS A6VA (genaugenommen A6Q00VA) installiert. Ich habe vorher etwa ein Jahr lang 10 bzw. 10.1 (update) benutzt - der Laptop lief ohne Probleme. Weil meine Installations-DVD defekt war, hab ich mir beim update auf 10.2 leider das System zerschossen - war aber nicht weiter tragisch, da ich mein /home eh auf einer weiteren Partition gelagert hatte. Ich hab 10.2 neu installiert, konfiguriert, das System läuft soweit perfekt. Bild passt, Ton passt, sogar 3D und Xgl sind kein Problem. Das System läuft stabil, ich wäre rundum zufrieden, wenn da nicht eine Kleinigkeit wäre, die mir Kopfzerbrechen bereitet: Das Notebook arbeitet nur im Akkubetrieb wirklich schnell. Das Problem beginnt bereits beim Booten: Fahr ich den Laptop ohne Netzteil hoch, dauert der gesamte Bootvorgang etwa eine Minute, im Netzteilbetrieb sind es über drei Minuten. Auch wenn das System läuft bleibt das Problem bestehen: Möchte ich meinen Xgl-Cube drehen ruckelt es, obwohl das System 3D-beschleunigt läuft. Das Spiel "Chromium B.S.U." läuft in Zeitlupe mit verzerrtem Ton. (MP3s lassen sich allerdings problemlos abspielen, auch zeitgleich, dann wird das Spiel bizarrerweise sogar schneller!) Wenn ich eine DVD abspiele läuft das Bild sehr ruckartig, der Ton allerdings normal. Natürlich hab ich erstmal Google bemüht und bin auf folgenden Thread gestoßen: http://www.ubuntu-forum.de/artikel/14193/Mehr-3D-Leistung-im-Akkubetrieb.htm... Darin diskutieren ein paar Ubuntu-User, die über das gleiche Phänomen berichten. Sie vermuten ein Problem mit dem ACPI-Zeug im aktuellen Kernel. Für Ubuntu-Nutzer schafft ein sogenannter generic-kernel offensichtlich Abhilfe - für uns SUSE-Nutzer gibt es aber scheinbar nichts Vergleichbares. Da die unter SUSE 10 und 10.1 verwendeten Kernelversionen problemlos auf meinem Notebook liefen, vermute ich, dass bei den Änderungen zum Kernel für 10.2 irgendetwas verschlimmbessert wurde. Leider bin ich nicht annähernd fit genug in der Linux-Welt, um zu wissen, was ich jetzt tun soll. Ist ein Kernel-Downgrade möglich? Ist das überhaupt sinnvoll? Kann man das entsprechende "Kernelstück" austauschen und durch das alte ersetzen? Wenn ja: Wie? Wenn nicht: Was dann? Im Linux-Club ( http://www.linux-club.de/ftopic73590.html ) wurde das Thema auch bereits ergebnislos diskutiert. Dort wurde vorgeschlagen, den Fehler bei Novell zu melden, allerdings habe ich keine Ahnung wie oder wo. Über das OpenSUSE-Wiki bin ich auf die Mailinglisten gestoßen und hoffe, dass mir / uns jemand bei der Lösung dieses Problems helfen kann?
