Nur zur Info: Hattest du schob probiert, die Taktrate mit powersave -l auf den niedrigsten Wert zu prügeln? Das sollte zumindest dafür sorgen, dass die Temperatur auf einem niedrigen Stand bleibt. Wenn das klappt, dann scheint das ganze Powersave-System zumindest nicht komplett ausgefallen zu sein.

leider war ich mit meinem Dell Inspiron 700m nicht ganz so erfolgreich:

... und das Applet zeigt mir zwar die Temperatur, aber auf den Luefterbuttons jeweils nur "-1". Klicken drauf brings nichts. nb1:/etc # cat /proc/i8k 1.0 A01 DWHBW61 54 -22 -22 -22 -22 -1 -22
Der Luefter wird wohl nicht erkannt? Aus dem Readme:
