[suse-mirror] Please seed 12.2 ISOs
Hi, It would be great if more mirrors could join in seeding the 12.2 ISOs, so far I can only see 3 seeders e.g. for the GNOME live. Greetings, Stephan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: mirror+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: mirror+owner@opensuse.org

You could add HTTP sources to the torrent files ... -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: mirror+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: mirror+owner@opensuse.org

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torrent_file#HTTP_seeds But careful, torrent clients will send a lot of range requests to the listed HTTP seeds. Only but in mirrors that can take it (I guess mirror.netcologne.de could manage) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: mirror+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: mirror+owner@opensuse.org

As mentiond already, doing so might actually hurt the performance for some mirrors. The torrent protocol is designed for quite the opposite case of central servers (jumping all over the file chunks can easily void the disk cache).
