[suse-mirror] rsync.opensuse.org back - but no latest content
Hallo, nice to see rsync.opensuse.org back. But content seems to be outdated: /update/13.1/repodata/repomd.xml 03-Nov-2014 13:55 vs. (download.opensuse.org) /update/13.1/repodata/repomd.xml 05-Nov-2014 11:30 are there still problems to expect? or will this be solved soon? additionally the content is inconsistent: repomd.xml 03-Nov-2014 13:55 vs. 909a192cce8a027e7008cbd075ccec089921a7f89129d9cd8960055b0be87c10-updateinfo.xml.gz 03-Nov-2014 17:30 so all my machines cannot update: Retrieving repository 'Main Update Repository' metadata -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------[|] File './repodata/360fd920936ce10772769e6c0f906f945e29c387087ae0854a2f6007fa06bae7-updateinfo.xml.gz' not found on medium 'http://download.swabian.net/opensu se/update/13.1/' Thanks in advance for any info greetings Paul -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: mirror+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: mirror+owner@opensuse.org

I'm using --delete-after here, but you need additional space on you server for this. The benefit is that your clients can finish the download of old packages more reliable during the rsync.
This is rsync.opensuse.org, public rsync server of openSUSE.org, limited to 50 connections.
Please note that the server was down on Friday for a short period (~30min): the datacenter guys moved it to a new Rack space. If you synced during that time, the sync might stopped incomplete. Can you please sync again to make sure that the problem is elsewhere? ...and please tell us the time and your IP address during the sync. With kind regards, Lars -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: mirror+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: mirror+owner@opensuse.org
Hi sorry for any inconvenience caused. I think i found my mistake. I synced one time with user root instead using the low priviliged user created for rsync. So rsync could not overwrite root's files. Now changed the ownership and syncing again. I think this will abolish my problems. Thanks for help. And yes I had to change --delete-after to --delete-before because i ran out of space. Will change back soon. regards, Paul On Saturday 2014-11-08 07:41, Lars Vogdt wrote:
