[suse-mirror] openSUSE 11.3
Hi, openSUSE 11.3 is gold and I'll upload it soon. I disabled some mirrors from accessing stage.opensuse.org because they offer /distribution/.timestamp_invisible (I should have written each of them). Additionally I put up an /distribution/11.3/iso/README file, that hopefully will not appear on any mirror. I will upload the final 11.3 directory not before saturday, so this should give everyone enough time to fix the setup :) Greetings, Stephan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: mirror+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: mirror+help@opensuse.org

Do you restrict syncing this file on your part or do we have to exclude it? This is my current rsync (omitting sleep): rsync -rqlpt -H stage.opensuse.org::opensuse-full \ /var/ftp/pub/Linux/Distributions/opensuse --delete-after \ --delete-excluded --max-delete=4000 --timeout=1800 -hi Mirror: opensuse.uib.no -- Regards/Mvh, Bjørge Solli Chief engineer/Overingeniør at Uni. No, the file is not restricted at all, it's only forbidden to access for others. You can get it from stage.o.o, but I shouldn't be able to download it from your mirror. Is it a problem, if I don't mirror those timestamp files? I mirror directories from /distribution/ by hand, so I still have 10.3 and multiple milestone / rc repositories...

So the 11.3 directory is not yet there? Bye, CzP -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: mirror+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: mirror+help@opensuse.org

No, this is only about mirrors that do not work with bitflip releases. Greetings, Stephan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: mirror+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: mirror+help@opensuse.org

I am a little puzzled about the prio on the mirrors list. What does it mean? What effect does it have? I Just downloaded the dvd from the 2 mirror sites listed for Denmark. One has a 500 prio (cdn.novell.com) and one has a 100 prio (ftp.klid.dk - my site). And I got something like 16 Mbit/s out of Novell, and something like 60 Mbit/s out of KLID. So the faster the site is, the lower the priority is? When I try the direct download, I always get the Novell site. Maybe it should be the KLID site, as it is much faster? Does the prio rating take into account that a site is covering more land?o Best regards keld -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: mirror+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: mirror+help@opensuse.org

cdn.novell.com is supposed to be Akamai driven. It might be slower than other servers though, although I would hope not ;) Ciao, Marcus -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: mirror+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: mirror+help@opensuse.org
