Could you provide me a list of the most popular software in the medical repository, and which medical hardware is well supported and that which needs most attention to testing? Stuart On Monday 06 Jun 2011 22:26:26 Thanasis Rous wrote:
Very good point!
So we can target indepenent healers ,doctors and pharmacists and alternative healing as well (maybe and medical students).
Talking about Goverment desicion SLES/SLED would be a better solution (like in London Stock!)

do you think because in the UK, all doctors use GPNet or something like the same software on all their computers as do pharmacies, however perhaps we can target indepenent healers, those in specialist alternative healing.
If UK Doctors were to switch I guess it would have to be a decision by the NHS or Government and therefore more likely would be SLES/SLED as apose to openSUSE?
What do you think?

Hello Stuart Tanner and Mates!
Well first of all i would like to thank you about your comment, thought, and suggestion!
Secondly , an openSUSE user is not obligated to use this distro , he/she can download the medical repo as well and use the applications included. So , to carry on , think that the project is alive about more than one year , so the applications needed large scale in Hospital Environments have to be tested more. Having in mind this feauture i suggest this :
openSUSE Medical is a project better suited to small and "medium" Doctor's Practices.
Newspaper : Presenting the openSUSE Medical Project (feel free to ask me or to ask me to write something). We need volunteers(aka Calling for participation) (for example doctors, medical students, translators etc) so as this project can it be used large scale in Hospital Environments.
I have to mention something more , the more collaboration between developers and "medical staff" the most applications available will have!
Thanks a lot!
Regards!

Dear All
Congratulations on the release of openSUSE Medical 11.4!
I would like to do a feature on the medical applications contained within openSUSE 11.4 for a newspaper column I am writing, I think am looking to promote the wide variety of uses for openSUSE, for somebody running standard openSUSE, which software would they could they install and what is the main target users.
For example could it be used large scale in Hospital Environments where they need to monitor patient records, view X-Rays and use MRI Scanners etc
Or would it be better suited to small Doctor's Practices?
