[opensuse-marketing] 11.4 GRUB2 inclusion in question
Unless someone otherwise for sure, GRUB2 is not a feature in the initial release of 11.4 despite numerous early public comment suggesting that would happen. Initial "look" indicates 11.4 is still using "GRUB Legacy" and a GRUB2 package is available in the OSS Repository. Anywhere and everywhere GRUB2 this is mentioned should be altered or purged. Jos, I put this in the Feature Guide so it needs to be removed for sure there. It was always said this is an optionnal feature like systemd is

Nobody said the inverse ...

Extract of the Product_Highlight GRUB2 is now available for testing in openSUSE 11.4. Like systemd it is still not deemed ready for everyday use, but you can try it out. Seems right no ?

Hi Kostas unfortunately, I've never try (don't have any urgent need about :) it in production. And our wiki page about it seems very spare see the 3 external links at the end of http://en.opensuse.org/GRUB -- Bruno Friedmann Ioda-Net Sàrl www.ioda-net.ch openSUSE Member & Ambassador GPG KEY : D5C9B751C4653227 irc: tigerfoot -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org
Yes, It looks like at least on the Feature Guide someone caught my faux pax and it's worded appropriately. Thx to whoever that was... Hope what I originally wrote wasn't applied anywheere else. Skimming the wiki link, it looks OK. Tony On Sat, Mar 12, 2011 at 7:04 AM, Bruno Friedmann <bruno@ioda-net.ch> wrote:
