[opensuse-marketing] Draft msg from Attachmate re: openSUSE 11.4 release
Hi all Thanks again to Bryen for this idea. Here's a draft of what Attachmate would like to post on Monday morning. We'll place it in our news section with a link on the attachmate.com homepage. I've purposefully kept it very simple and direct to limit the potential for over-analysis and mis-interpretation that might occur if we try to get to wordy. Let me know what you think. ------------------------------------------------------ On behalf of Attachmate, I’d like to congratulate the openSUSE Project for the release of openSUSE 11.4. We’re excited to see your latest advancements—the new LibreOffice, the latest GUI desktop versions, and numerous under-the-hood updates—all of which demonstrate your ongoing commitment to quality and innovation. Nice draft. If I were to suggest anything, and certainly you're free to reject it, I'd like to give a bit more oomph to the fact that this was a community collaborated effort and emphasizes what Project is all about (which is more than just a distro.) In many of our opinions, this is probably one of THE most collaborative efforts we've seen and the spirits are riding high and people are jumping in from all over to come up with ways to improve and exemplify openSUSE. While 11.4 itself is a great release, I think 11.4 is more significant for its community than even for its distribution because there's been no better time than present where "community" truly is "community." And it benefits everyone, including our current and future sponsors. :-) Bryen -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org
Hi Bryen, I agree and will work in some focus on the collaboration/community aspect.
