OK, so this isn't actually about the Countdown buttons, but about the countdown we have until openSUSE 11.1 is released. We've got 38 days until release day and quite a bit of work to do to give 11.1 a presence at openSUSE.org. We've begun laying the groundwork, so here's what I see that needs to be done: *openSUSE 11.1 page [http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE_11.1]: for this page, perhaps we should just take what is over at openSUSE_11.0 and re-apply it - I'll be adding in some more stuff to it probably tomorrow, but we need all the hands on this page we can get. Remember that when a prospective user clicks on a countdown widget on another website, this is the page they'll be greeted with, so we'll want to make the case to the average user why they'd want to check out openSUSE 11.1. *Screenshots [http://en.opensuse.org/Screenshots/11.1_Beta5]: Zonker's brought this up before. I can provide GNOME screenshots, but I'm not running KDE or in a VM, so I can't get screenshots of the CD boot or the bootsplash, so we need some assistance there. *Sneak Peaks: Francis Giannaros has handled managing the Sneak Peak series in the past, so he'll probably want to chime in here with what he's planning for this release. However, I did clean up the Sneak Peak planning page so we can use it to once again plan who will write what. [http://en.opensuse.org/Sneak_Peaks] *Frontpage banner: We can wait on this until probably a week or so before the release, but I think it'd be nice to put a large banner on the front of openSUSE.org (the portal page, before the wiki), probably on the left of the Get It!, etc. buttons, with a countdown until the release (and a Welcome to openSUSE 11.1! message after the release).
