[opensuse-marketing] help with news article, urgent!
Hey guys I was distracted and hit 'publish' instead of 'save draft' on the Statistics news post. Straight away I changed it to 'private' since there doesn't seem to be any other kind of 'unpublish' button. Very frustrating as the post is far from finished, I'm terribly sorry!!! Can anyone please jump in and help fix (unpublish) and also finish writing it. Apologies again. I don't think I'll keep writing News, far too many ways for me to make very public mistakes! -- IRC: helen_au helen.south@opensuse.org helensouth.com -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org

Well I cannot help you by doing unpublish or something but don't stop writing News for many many many reasons not to. Especially the 'I made a mistake' reason which is on the top of that list of reasons. ;-) Second of all You write better than most of us. Third, you only make mistakes if you are actually doing something, which is faaaaaar better from not doing nothing.Do you get me? Last (not actually last but the last major reason I will write now) but not least, it is Free Software, making mistakes is actually a good thing. Keep on Rocking

I was checking it out. I found no Statistics article but a Jos private article published for March 25, 2011. It is the closer theme to statics I found and it will not go publicly but private. If is that the article you can change the date for publishing again on right panel until ready. And of course change it to public whenever is ready to go. ;-) It seems not that bad as you said. Thanks for the encouragement guys, I appreciate your kind words very much. Maybe I over-reacted a little bit. There really should be an unpublish button... maybe a delay before it is fully 'live'. People need time to have second thoughts! Oh well.... Ricardo, I set the post to 'private' and set the date forward to attempt to hide it from publication. So yes, that's the one you were looking at. It's not so bad now, I think it's nearly finished. thanks, Helen -- IRC: helen_au helen.south@opensuse.org helensouth.com -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org

I am sure you are convinced by now that you don't need to stop writing for just one small mistake :-) For future, I suggest you write your blog posts in an offline editor like blogilo or blogtk so that you won't publish until you are sure you are done correctly. All of us enjoy your writing and don't stop it. Sankar -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org
