The openSUSE Team would like to invite our community and other Linux enthusiasts to participate in our wallpaper contest. We have created a flickr.com page especially made for the reception of images that can be chosen as the default wallpaper for the next release of openSUSE 12.3.

On our Flickr page you will find guidelines on what the images' license should be and the appropriate sizes for them. If you plan on submitting images to the contest, please make sure that you understand the guidelines for submission and that, if chosen, you will be asked to make your image ready for packaging.

Also, during the this first week the artwork team will take part in selecting the finalists for the contest. We have had a lot of submissions, and having our team select the finalists will bring the amount of images to the best ones. After that, the rest of the community will be asked to vote on the finalist images.

The contest will end on December 24, 2012.
